Bill France never would back texas world speedway and thats a shame
lol Mexican speed wrench. I love it , - say that today and some purple haired white woman will make a tictok go viral saying it’s racism. These races in HD would be incredible- how the drivers are just good ol boys and windshields breaking, getting cut, and of course Bills best race..awesome day in 1985

"Wreck some body is not what I do", Lol.
27 Rusty Wallace?
Dale has wrecked all my cars.
Hendrick, " I want you to take out this Dale". Lol.
When a driver wins for the final time, sometimes there's a sense in the moment that it will be their last win. That's how Jeff Gordon's last win at Martinsville in 2015 felt to me. However, it must have been hard to believe at the time that this would be Sterling Marlin's last win.
Bad ass race no stupid burn outs First class gentelman
LeeRoy had an incredible '68 season, Holy Cow.
23:19 That might be the only time in Nascar history, husband and wife are in wreck !!!
Wow Dale Jarrett looked a lot like terry labonte and his 28 car looked a lot like the 11 car during the starting lineup coverage.
nascrap saving their favorite son again with the early caution before lap 25's scheduled caution. They did it for him at Dover too, pro wrestling on wheels.
*POINT STANDINGS and WINS before the 1982 MOTOR STATE 400 (15 of 30):* #44 Terry Labonte (2146 points, GM) #88 Bobby Allison (-144 with 3 wins, GM) #11 Darrell Waltrip (-210 with 5 wins, GM) #28 Benny Parsons (-327, GM) #15 Dale Earnhardt (-345 with 1 win, Ford) #67 Buddy Arrington (-365, Dodge) #33 Harry Gant (-397 with 1 win, GM) #71 Dave Marcis (-461 with 1 win, GM) #43 Richard Petty (-463, GM) Jody Ridley (Ford #90 in 12th) has been improving over the months. Ricky Rudd (GM #3 in 17th) has had a combination of performance and mechanical DNFs. Cale Yarborough (GM #27) won the Carolina 500 and Neil Bonnet (Ford #21) won the World 600 despite both aiming to only race around half of the season. Tim Richmond (GM #2) got his maiden win in the Riverside 400km. Drivers listed are the season's current top8, last season's top8 plus whatever race winner that doesn't fit any of those 2 descriptions. Yes, I’m using the unsponsored names of the races. In Michigan’s case, the early race is the Motor State 400 while the later one is the Yankee 400.
Man, I miss the old Luminas. They were such a good looking race car. The 87-88 Monte Carlos will always be my favorites though. The 84-86 Thunderbirds were some pretty cars too. Shaped like a bullet. Its no wonder Elliott dominated the Mid 80's like he did
300 km, not 300 miles. That is why the race was only 74 laps.
The clip of BP at the Still Site needs to be shown at every NWB race now
37:22, best camera shot ever.
19:18 That shit happen!
Dick Trickle won that race, wow.
Ford Drivers like Dale Jarrett so down to earth and kind........Chevy drivers like Earnhardt Sr a total prick who never had anything nice to say and always knocking people out of the race
3:31:46 Park vs Nemechek
*POINT STANDINGS and WINS before the 1982 PENNSYLVANIA 500 (13 of 30):* #44 Terry Labonte (1806 points, GM) #11 Darrell Waltrip (-66 with 5 wins, GM) #88 Bobby Allison (-76 with 3 wins, GM) #15 Dale Earnhardt (-236 with 1 win, Ford) #98 Morgan Shepherd (-242, GM) #28 Benny Parsons (-251, GM) #33 Harry Gant (-275 with 1 win, GM) #67 Buddy Arrington (-275, Dodge) #71 Dave Marcis (-328 with 1 win, GM) #43 Richard Petty (-329, GM) Jody Ridley (Ford #90 in 15th) is not really up to speed so far but is improving. Ricky Rudd (GM #3 in 16th) keeps suffering mechanical DNFs so he’s well down in points. Cale Yarborough (GM #27) won the Carolina 500 and Neil Bonnet (Ford #21) won the World 600 despite both aiming to only race around half of the season. Drivers listed are the season's current top8, last season's top8 plus whatever race winner that doesn't fit any of those 2 descriptions. Yes, I’m using the unsponsored names of the races. In Pocono's case, the early race is the Pennsylvania 500 while the later one is the Pocono 500.
Before the restrictor plate, they had fuel injection, and you knew mr.holly was on the out.
The best thing about the these old nascar races,no jeff gordon.
Probably the best iRoc road race.
Communists brought in the restrictor plates, and big track racing hasn't been the same.
It s too bad most of these races come via VHS tape and are such terrible quality .
I didn’t really care for the fact they cherry picked certain drivers they wanted to be in the main show, like Geoff Bodine, Kyle Petty, Bobby Hamilton, Sterling Marlin. I’m glad they soon tightened the requirements to make it in, having to be a more recent winner.
This same year, the Mark Martin Folgers #6 car would be at my local grocery store in small town Tennessee. A crew member gave me a pair of earplugs in a folgers case and I was sold! Huge Mark Martin fan since! I got lucky that the guy I was following happened to be dang good!
If the RC blimp went down today over a sports event, people would be running to get under it just to sue!
"ESPNGODAWGS" I guess that crewmember was a Georgia fan

Good lord, those pit road rules are absurd. It's silly that they even had to try them out before just saying "hey you know, maybe a speed limit on pit road would do the job" a couple months later. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best one.
Since listening to the Dale Jr download and all the creative engineering back then it makes you wonder what the fast cars had going on.
That was the most insane race I ever went to entire grandstands where just crazy then afterwards the pedestrian bridge collapsed in front of the track it was crazy
27:49 and now we go to the weather map and we join weather man Mike Joy
Back when NASCAR was NASCAR before the meaningless points system and bullshit playoffs before all this soft PC pussy shit caused them to change all the alcohol and tobacco sponsors to be replaced I don’t care what they call it today I still call it Winston cup
What a different class of announcing I mean they wasn't just shoving a mic in someone's face
Man do I remember these fantastic days ,I was 15 when this race was run, now 65 still enjoying every minute and sound.cant beat it.I am alive!!!!!!.Remember Life is short...Enjoy it when you can..
9 months later Steven was born lmao
The more race track announcers tell fans to get away from the fence, the more of them run down there. These people, as has been recently documented, do not wish to follow rules. Tell them to scale the damned fence and go running around on the track and they'll go back to their seats. 😂
I have to wonder how many people watching this nowadays know what they're talking about when the announcers mention adjusting the stagger on a car. That's something really unique to old school oval track racing. If you don't know, stagger refers to putting slightly larger tires on the right side of the car to make it naturally want to turn left. It fell out of favor in the '90s when they developed the ability to adjust the suspension through the rear window, which is a lot quicker and more precise.
Flat collectors had alot to do with that sound
Ward Burton ran out of talent kissing that apron in the trioval.
1430 dollars for first place
It’s funny that everybody already knew Dale was a clown!
listening to this at work actually keeps me focused (minus this comment lmao)
Change his underwear, and he'll be right back out again! Lol.
Anyone remember the first race Gordon won after they all started doing burnouts when they won? He couldn't do a burnout. He claimed he didn't know how, never did one before. You know what? They were running traction control, just like they did in this race. I'm not a hater folks, just telling the obvious. A racer who doesn't know how to spin the tires? C'mon man. They do it every time they leave the pits, but Gordon didn't. That's also why they started out slow, he had problems heating up the tires.
